I would give this pendant to my sister in law who has helped me in every aspect of becoming a mother. She had a baby before me and paved the way for natural birthing, breastfeeding, bed sharing, and gentle parenting. I owe a lot to her.

I would keep this beautiful necklace for myself and use it as a sign of encouragement and achievement. My son is 10 months old and I am struggling to maintain our nursing relationship. I am a working mom who pumps at work and nurses at home – but I find myself lately facing exhaustion and fighting against outside factors to make it to my son’s first birthday. I don’t want to wean him just yet, and this necklace would
help remind me to push through this rough patch and keep on nursing down the home stretch (or longer). Thanks for offering such wonderful ideas and inspirations on your blog and Twitter! It is one of the things that has kept me nursing or this long!

I would give this pendant to my best friend. We have been best friends since we were 12 and our babies were born only 1 day apart from each other! Her son was born with a very serious heart condition though and nearly died. He spent 2 months in the NICU and had 3 major operations. He is home and doing better now but i think this pendant would make a wonderful Christmas present to celebrate her rocky road to motherhood and a much cherished baby.
