How are you celebrating Father’s Day this year? We are taking the kids on a road trip to visit my parents. We’ve also roped my dad into spending the day over the fire pit slow roasting his signature chicken. I would feel badly if I weren’t so excited for my dad’s chicken!
I was talking to Miles a bit about the upcoming holiday. He loves craft magazines and as soon as he learned about Father’s Day, he informed me we needed to make bald eagles from oval-shaped cookies, coconut flakes, and almond slivers. Also, we needed cashews for beaks.
Now, my husband could care less about bald eagles or coconut flakes, but Miles got it in his head that’s what we need to make and you can’t argue with an excited 4-year-old.
Needless to say, I’ll be spending the rest of this week hunting down ingredients and prepping bald eagle cookies for dessert.
