Our Blogiversary Was A Blast!!

Blogiversary Celebration – Straplettes – CLOSED

Most lactation consultants recommend that you begin each feeding on the opposite breast that you began the last feeding on. Why? Well – for a variety of reasons, but most importantly, to keep your supply regulated. Your baby nurses stronger and harder when first put on your breast. So the first side, gets “a better workout” than the 2nd side. So if you started on the right for your first feeding, you’ll want to start on the left for your 2nd and so on. This way, each breast gets the strong, early stimulation from your baby’s nursing.
This will keep your supply equal in each breast and it will help you to avoid or minimize your chances of clogged ducts and mastitis.
As a new mom, we have all experienced some degree of “mommy brain” and forgetfulness – and when it comes to remembering which side you nursed on last, it can often be more difficult than one might imagine!

I was first introduced to Slimpressions as a company when I entered a contest on Twitter and WON! I was so excited! I never win anything, so when I won shapewear – I was super-excited to get something to help me look great underneath all of my more fitted garments. As my prize, Slimpressions sent me three items – the
Tanks-A-Lot, the Tanks-A-Little and the Long-Leg-Shaper. I was a little bit hesitant when it came to giving them my size for my samples to be sent to be because I was worried that I would get these great items and they wouldn’t fit. In my experience with most shapewear brands, they items run much smaller than their size charts indicate! So I looked at the Slimpressions Size Chart and picked size 2 (I wear a size 10 pant) – and to my surprise, when they arrived – they FIT PERFECTLY!
I absolutely LOVE my Long-Leg-Shaper! I wear it underneath all of my dresses to give me a smoother silhouette. And when I looked at the Tanks-A-Little, a light-bulb went off in my head! Not only was this top great for women who want to have a little belly support under their garments, but it also doubles as a nursing cover for breastfeeding moms! Now I knew that there would be a great relationship with my boutique and Slimpressions!
This garment is just what every nursing mom wants – it covers your belly while you are nursing and it offers gentle support to help that post-partum tummy look like it did pre-baby!

This book is unique because it is a journey through pregnancy from the baby’s perspective.
